My name is Kyla Jackson and in November of 2010 I married my very best friend! I married at quite a young age and for me, was a bit of a difficult transition considering I went from graduating high school, living on my own for a bit and then making the biggest commitment of my life. Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way! I have had a passion for fashion since I was young- and ever since I can remember I've always loved dressing up. I moved to Utah from Texas near the end of my sophomore year of high school, and I have to say it was the most difficult situation that's ever happened to me. To move from all of my friends who made me happy, who I shared all of my secrets with and on the weekends, did everything with- I had to create a new life, and a new perspective. I began to create my own sense of self worth, and learned who I really was. I began to learn how to make myself happy without anyone or anything. While that was such a difficult process for me, and while I didn't feel like I had the typical fun high school experience, I learned a lot about myself and about who I wanted to be. Through that experience, I gained an even stronger love of fashion and expressing myself through the way that I dressed- it was kind of an outlet for me when I felt like I was struggling in a whole new environment.
I am now 20 years old, attending Utah Valley University majoring in Graphic Design. I was a PR major but I love art so much and I have a strong love for the arts and design. I've worked retail since I was 16 years old, and I now work as a make up artist for Bare Escentuals. I love it and I love the girls I work with, and the relationships I build with women everyday. My wonderful husband and I live in Springville, Utah and love to go to the gym together, watch movies, and enjoy any moment of free time we have together.
I have been procrastinating creating a blog for months and months. I absolutely love getting inspiration from fellow bloggers and knew that someday, I would create my own. I don't yet have a fancy camera, (I see a Canon t3i in my near future for Christmas... :) and so as of now, I just plan on posting pictures that inspire me.. while I wait for a new camera! :)
